President Ernesto Baron, Esq.
Before founding FTA International in 2011, Ernesto worked for the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council for 10 years. He served as marketing manager for the Far East region, Latin America, and the Caribbean. In that role, Ernesto managed marketing and promotional campaigns and dealt with market access issues in 27 countries worldwide.
Raised on a beef and dairy farm near Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Ernesto completed his Agricultural Engineering degree at Escuela Agricola Panamericana, El Zamorano. He also holds a Masters in Agribusiness (MAB) from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctorate from Georgia State college of law. Ernesto is licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.
Manager, South America José Fernández
José Fernández has 10 years of experience managing imports, transport logistics, operations, effective management of operating costs, planning and scheduling of inventories, opening of letters of credit, contracts with insurance companies, customs clearance and storage, and trading.
José graduated from Escuela Agricola Panamericana, El Zamorano, Honduras and he currently forms part of the Graduates Association of the Pan-American Agricultural School Peru of which he is also a founding partner.
Manager, Central America Ana Vettorazzi
Ana has more than 15 years of experience designing and implementing publicity and marketing campaigns for various international brands and has specialized in the food and beverage industry.
Ana has experience in strategic planing, product development, public relations, traditional and digital media campaigns, as well as corporate event planing and coordination. She has represented various foreign institutions in Central America, The Dominican Republic and Cuba for the last ten years.
Ana was born in Guatemala and studied Marketing with Emphasis in Publicity at Rafael Landivar University. She was worked for brands such as Quaker Oats and Coca-Cola and has taught “Integral Communication in Marketing” courses at Universidad del Istmo.
Manager, Central America Rosi Vettorazzi
Rosi Vettorazzi is specialized in International Marketing and Publicity, with more than 20 years’ experience in strategic planning of publicity campaigns, merchandising campaigns, public relations, media and product launches. She has represented different foreign institutions in the Central American region.
Ms. Vettorazzi has a Graphic Design Degree from Universidad Rafael Landívar in Guatemala and a Master’s Degree in Marketing from Universidad de las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Spain.
Country Manager, Colombia Alejandro Diaz
Alejandro has over 17 years of marketing and sales experience in Business to Business (B2B) consultative selling and Business to Consumer (B2C) commercial strategies, driving business growth in different categories at a regional level, with more than 9 years of his experience in the Food Service Industry. He has a strong entrepreneurial mindset and an ability to identify new opportunities where he has been able to be part of various startups in the FoodService industry while expanding his relationship network within.
Born in Cartagena, Colombia, he graduated from CESA School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Marketing from Universidad De Los Andes.
Marketing Associate, Colombia Carlos Ruiz
Carlos is a strategic marketing consultant, specializing in public relations and representation of foreign companies in Colombia. Carlos has 8 years of experience working in Trade Marketing, Financial Management, Sales, Customer Service and Foreign Trading in Colombia.
Carlos graduated from Javeriana University in Colombia and received his bachelor’s degree in economics with an emphasis in International Economic Relations in 2009.
After graduation, Carlos managed marketing strategies for major food companies (Nacional de Chocolates, Grupo Carnico, and Noel) before moving on to work in the finance sector, publishing financial reports for energy companies such as Genercauca and Hdrotolima. Just before joining the FTA team, Carlos became an executive seller for AT&T.
His diverse experience makes Carlos an asset to the FTA team where he leads a number of our trade servicing and marketing activities in the South American market.
Manager, Caribbean Caroline Baron
Caroline started her career with an international power products corporation where she found her creative spirit could be put to good use marketing strategic initiatives and investigating growth opportunities. From there, she continued to gravitate to roles that required a combination of strategic insights and long-term vision. After graduating from Emory’s MBA program, she spent 3 years in the marketing world working with a variety companies – from medical device manufacturers to apparel corporations. Caroline joined the FTA team in 2018 as our Caribbean Territory Manager, leading market research and campaign development and deployment in that region.
Compliance Manager, Colombia Julieta Viteri
Julieta Viteri is an Industrial engineer and Internal Controls and Assurance Specialist with over 15 years of extensive knowledge and experience in the design, coordination, and execution of corporate internal audit plans; design of risk, control and reporting frameworks, analysis and evaluation of processes, transformation and process improvement; project management; SOX consulting; and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) implementation counselling.
Julieta was born in Colombia, raised in the United States and Honduras and then returned to Colombia to obtain her bachelor’s degree in the “Universidad Catolica de Colombia” and further on her specialization in the “Pontificia Universidad Javeriana”.
She worked for various multinational companies such as Ernst & Young (EY), Kraft Foods, and AIG Insurance. Her work experience has led her to live in various countries in Central America and the Caribbean and now has relocated back to Colombia. Julieta also has great motivation in the management, direction and development of teams.
